Overview
Infernoble Knights are a subseries of the Noble Knight archetype introduced in the secret pack "Guided by the Noble Blade.". A Synchro focused archetype, this deck's goal is to take advantage of a less-used mechanic in Yu-Gi-Oh, Equip Cards. Finding new support in “Ride Into the Future” has given new flame to this strategy behind several new support cards as well as a much needed upgrade to the Emperor's kit. Alongside Loading...
and the Loading...
, the deck has been given a boost from a barely rogue engine to potential High Tier strategy, and with the WANTED engine introduced alongside it, that nearly cements its Tier 2+ status. This guide hopes to give a brief explanation of the core and tech engine choices, as well as provide sample deck lists for what is most likely to be the premiere FIRE combo deck of 2024. If you have any questions about things not covered explicitly here, please come to the MDM discord where we're happy to help!
Old Infernoble Main Deck Cards
The namesake of the deck, these powerful FIRE Warriors are the reason this deck is so resilient to Handtraps. In previous years, we used a small amount of them to help improve the consistency of Loading...
combos. After the new wave of support however, we can now use the full suite of cards, so we'll go over those now.
Infernoble Knight Ogier x1-3
Highly searchable via
Loading...
and
Loading...
making him the 2nd best Normal Summon in the deck. Infernoble Knight Ogier is used to send FIRE Warriors from Deck to the Graveyard such as
Loading...
,
Loading...
, etc. In combination within
Loading...
you can retrieve cards sent to the Graveyard. Ogier’s 2nd effect allows him to equip himself onto a Warrior as an Equip Spell that can protect that monster on the field from being destroyed by card effects. This effect doubles as a way to trigger
Loading...
’s second effect.
Infernoble Knight - Renaud x1-3
Renaud is easily one of the best extenders in this deck, as he essentially is a 2 for 1. Although saving Renaud to be used as an extender is optimal, using him early on can also be just as rewarding as he can set up early Gearfried, Angelica, and even Apollousa lines. Renaud is mainly used to retrieve cards like

,
Loading...
,
Loading...
,
Loading...
, etc. to further help extend combos, most of which can be sent to the Graveyard by

.
Infernoble Knight Maugis x1
Maugis’s inclusion is a new one, his effect to Shuffle “Noble Arms” and FIRE Warriors into the Deck to draw a card is a great tool to dig for handtraps during the End Phase. This doubles as a way to recycle Equips and copies of
Loading...
for follow-up plays. Just like
Loading...
Maugis’s 2nd effect allows him to equip himself onto a Warrior as an Equip Spell that can protect that monster on the field from being destroyed by battle. This serves as another way to trigger
Loading...
’s effect.
Infernoble Knight Astolfo x0-1
Although at a glance Astolfo may seem like a fine extender, both effects require a setup and have very little playoff. Would not recommend this over other extenders.
Infernoble Knight Oliver x1-2
Infernoble Knight Oliver is an amazing Tuner extender that doesn’t rely on you having a monster on board, you can send FIRE Warrior monsters or Equip Spells from hand or field to the Graveyard to Special Summon him. Typically you can use
Loading...
's 1st effect to give you a free send to Special Summon Oliver onto the field. Oliver’s 2nd effect allows him to equip himself onto a Warrior as an Equip Spell that can protect that monster on the field from being targeted.
WE WILL TRIGGER ANGELICA.
Infernoble Knight - Roland x0-1
Roland has 2 effects that are both fairly effective. His first effect allows you to Equip him from hand onto any monster you control, this actually accomplishes two things if the target is
Loading...
, first, it triggers Angelica’s effect to Special Summon Captain Roland from the Extra Deck, but it also causes Roland to go to the Graveyard since Angelica is no longer on the field. This leads to his second effect which allows you to add 1 FIRE Warrior or Equip Spell from your Deck to your hand during the End Phase if Roland was sent to the Graveyard. Not a mandatory inclusion but is worth considering.
"Infernoble Arms - Durendal" x1-3
“Infernoble Arms - Durendal” is our 2nd copy of
Loading...
in the Deck. Durendal can add any Level 5 or lower FIRE Warrior from your Deck to your hand. Durendal has an additional effect if the equipped monster is sent to the Graveyard. This effect Special Summons a FIRE Warrior monster from your Graveyard which can be used as an extender in certain scenarios. It's important to note that, after using this effect, you’re locked into summoning Warrior monsters for the rest of the turn.
"Infernoble Arms - Joyeuse" x0-1
Joyeuse is our searchable version of
Loading...
. A great tool for picking up combo pieces off of
Loading...
’s effect or to use as follow-up. When Joyeuse is sent from the field to the Graveyard along with the equipped monster, you can Special Summon a FIRE Warrior monster from your hand, unlike Durendal, you aren’t locked into Warriors after activating this effect.
"Infernoble Arms - Hauteclere" x0
Hauteclere hypothetically serves as a way to OTK, using its effect allows the equipped monster to attack twice in a single Battle Phase. Since our monsters reach astoundingly high Attack values, theoretically this could be good. However, the downside is that no other monsters can attack, on top of that,
Loading...
(as well as raw board presence) is a superior OTK enabler. When Hauteclere is sent from the field to the Graveyard along with the equipped monster, you can destroy 1 face-up monster on the field.
Heritage of the Chalice x3
Heritage of the Chalice serves as our 3rd copy of
Loading...
. Chalice can fetch any “Noble Knight” or “Noble Arms” card from either the Deck OR Graveyard. Serves as a great way to search Normal Summons, extenders, as well as
Loading...
. In addition, if a “Noble Knight” monster is sent to the Graveyard while Equipped with a “Noble Arms” card (like Durendal) you can add Chalice from your Graveyard to the hand.
Horn of Olifant x0-1
An interesting form of disruption and easily searchable. Olifant can banish an Equip Spell from the Graveyard to non-targeting destroy 1 card on the field. You could also choose to destroy a “Roland” monster you control to Special Summon FIRE Warrior monsters from your Deck. The easiest way to add this card is by searching it with
Loading...
, however, adding Museum nets you so much more value that Olifant is hard to incorporate without hindering consistency.
Generic Warrior Support
Over the years Konami has printed a lot of generic Warriors that just so happen to fit the bill perfectly to work with the Infernoble Knight archetype.
Super Quantum Red Layer x0-3
Red Layer is the

of the Deck, allowing you to Special Summon it if you control no monsters. It's also searchable with
Loading...
. With
Loading...
on the field, Red Layer’s Attack stat becomes 2500, allowing him to contest certain Extra Deck bosses such as a 3 Material

.
Fire Flint Lady x1-3
Searchable with
Loading...
, Fire Flint Lady is a free Special Summon as long as you control a Warrior monster. Great for extending combos or saving them with its second effect, which can be used to summon combo pieces like
Loading...
in hands that open him. Two copies of this card in your hand does your full combo.
Neo-Spacian Package
Neo Space Connector is arguably one of the best Normal Summons in the whole game. Connector is a 1 card

by summoning
Loading...
. Aqua Dolphin's effect allows you to look at your opponent's hand and destroy a monster who has less ATK than the monsters on your field. This allows you to get rid of most handtraps and gives you full hand knowledge.
Connector + Any Extender is enough to wrap up most games.
Immortal Phoenix Gearfried x1-3
Gearfried is one of the best monsters in this deck with its non-targeting removal as well as its monster negate. Searchable with Isolde and Captain Roland for follow-up turns or with
Ogier + Renaud for early handtrap protection.
Loading...
can also send Gearfried to the Graveyard to set him up as an endboard piece. Playing more copies allows for going second plays, but it's not required.
Reinforcement of the Army x1
Reinforcement of the Army is a staple in any Warrior-based strategy, in Infernoble Knight, it can be used to search any monster in the deck. Usually,
Loading...
is the best add for the reasons given above, but you can also add other extenders to protect yourself from specific handtraps.
