Introduction:

Purrely is a control strategy centered around Xyz summoning boss and utility monsters with unique abilities using Quick-Play Spells, and slowly out resourcing your opponent with great follow up and recursion of your spells and monsters.

The deck features two Level 1 LIGHT and DARK Fairy monsters that evolve into powerful Fairy Xyz monster forms, depending on the Quick-Play Spells you choose to overlay them with. These Quick-Play Spells, themed as "Memories," each have distinct effects that can summon the Main Deck monsters while also serving as tools for Xyz summoning the deck's boss monsters or utility Xyz monsters, the remaining Spells function as searchers or play insulators.

Main Deck Monsters:

Loading... is an extender, serving as a body for Link or Xyz plays or as bait to draw out hand traps. It is generally better to summon Purrelys/Purrelylys from the deck rather than normal summoning them from the hand, as drawing multiples of them can become a liability. Unlike Purrelyly, Purrely does not have hard "once per turn" restrictions, allowing multiple copies to be summoned and utilised in a single turn.

Loading... is a starter and extender, it adds all Purrely cards except for Quick-play Spells, giving you a lot of flexibility and allowing you to complete the missing pieces of your end board. It is later used to Xyz summon a boss monster as part of your end board or a utility Xyz to dismantle your opponent's board. Both effects of Purrelyly have hard "once per turn" restrictions on them, so commit to a Purrelyly play when you have baited disruptions or when it's possible to protect it.

Spells/traps:

Purrely Sleepy Memory
Purrely Sleepy Memory

This Quick-play Spell functions as both a starter and an extender. It is often searched going first rather than going second. Its main purpose is to facilitate the summoning of Loading... during your opponent's turn by summoning Loading... and using its effect to set a Purrely trap (Loading... is often the trap of choice as it enables drawing multiple times and grants access to Loading... ). As Xyz material during your opponent's standby phase you can draw a card for each attached Loading... which grants access to disruption in the form of hand traps. Finally, its lingering effect isn't as useful as its other more practical use, as it just drops the next battle and effect damage to 0 which can occasionally be useful if you intend to crash or defend yourself.

Purrely Happy Memory
Purrely Happy Memory

This Quick-play Spell can be technically considered a starter and is an extender, because it requires a card on the field to activate its effect. This card has utility going first and second, however, it is often searched going second to other turn kill your opponent with the Purrely Xyz monster Loading... , due to its effect when attached to grant a second attack per Loading... . Its immediate effect is a lot more useful and flexible than the other memories, as it can be used to creatively disrupt plays your opponent is attempting to make, or more commonly to protect your cards.

Purrely Pretty Memory

This Quick-play Spell is a starter and an extender. It is searched going first and second as it allows you to end on a [Quick Effect] monster negate in the form of Loading... or dismantle boards. As Purrely Xyz material, you can send one card you control to the grave then attach a card your opponent controls to the Xyz. The effect on resolution is to gain and give your opponent 1000 lifepoints which rarely comes up as its practical applications are very niche.

Purrely Delicious Memory

This Quick-play Spell is an extender due to its need for a monster to activate. It is searched going first to summon Loading... and go into Loading... directly, and searched using Loading... to other turn kill your opponent. As Purrely Xyz material for every material attached the monster gains 300 ATK/DEF. Its lingering effect makes a monster indestructible by battle, enabling the other turn kill with Loading... and ocassionally some defensive plays.

Note: Loading... is currently at 1 so it is unreliable to go for the Loading... into Loading... play.

My Friend Purrely

This Continuous Spell serves as a key searcher and recovery tool. It can search any Purrely card and recycles Quick-Play Spells from the graveyard upon the removal of a Purrely Xyz, which is crucial for a deck that discards to summon. Additionally, it provides access to missing endboard pieces, insulates plays by searching the Field Spell, and can be taken advantage of by crashing your monsters to regain resources.

Stray Purrely Street

The Field Spell insulates your plays and protects your monsters. This is often the second most searched card by Loading... after Loading... if you already have it in the hand, and is the recommended search target for Loading... if your hand can set up the typical end board. The card prevents the targeting of your special summoned Purrely monsters which allows you set up and dismantle boards, additionally, it also attaches the desired memory in end phase enabling you to complete your end board or attach follow up. Finally, just like Loading... recovers spells, it resummons your Level 1 Purrely monsters upon removal of a Purrely Xyz by your opponent.

Purrelyeap!?
Purrelyeap!?

This card can be searched using Loading... , Loading... , Loading... , and more commonly Loading... .

This trap card serves two purposes:

  1. Its field effect, when used with a Purrely Xyz monster, makes summoning the deck's boss monster easier and can sometimes help you avoid negation.

  2. Additionally, it allows you to recycle your Purrely monsters from the graveyard by banishing itself.

Purrely Sharely!?
Purrely Sharely!?

There are three reasons this card doesn't see much play:

  1. It’s a winmore card, which means its often set/searched when you’re already in a favourable position.

  2. It’s best case scenario being an Loading... [Quick Effect] negate doesn’t justify running it.

  3. It’s a brick going second with no valuable grave effects.

Optional Staples/Techs:

Don’t hesitate to experiment with hand traps and board breakers but try to keep your deck near 40 cards for consistency. The deck has around 18 - 19 non engine slots, which gives you a lot of flexibility and strength going second. However, it is advised to select non once per turn cards, or cards that can still activate if you control cards on the field to complement Loading... draws.
