Master Duel Meta Report: Ride Into the Future
Ride Into the Future was a very appropriately named release, with the advent of "Snake-Eye" and Loading... quickly becoming not only an extremely popular engine, but also what is undoubtedly the strongest deck of the format, laying waste to most other decks to a degree only outmatched by Spright and Tearlaments. Accompanying this release came a fairly milquetoast Forbidden & Limited List, though one that certainly weakened some of the decks that the community at large had issues with.
Alongside the exceedingly powerful Snake-Eye cards came some hotly-awaited though much less impactful support for Noble Knight and T.G. strategies, the former of which wreaked havoc on the Synchro & Link Event hosted in February.
Snake-Eye
To the surprise of absolutely nobody who has been paying attention to paper formats, Snake-Eye is the deck to beat in this format as well as for the foreseeable future. Featuring unreal amounts of advantage generation with very limited field investment, the deck has endless plays and can come back from nothing if the field is wiped out. Not only is Diabellstar among the most ubiquitous cards in Master Duel, she is also a major part of the strongest deck. God help us all.
With the engine being extremely splashable in a myriad of decks, it may have come as a surprise that the most powerful one seemed to be the pure, though one could rationalize it by pointing out that anything else would bring the average power of the deck down.

Despia is kicked into second place for what must be the tenth time. While the deck is undeniably powerful and competitive it has a tragic weakness in the Snake-Eye matchup: if Mirrorjade is placed into the Spell & Trap Zone, the player will be unable to Summon a second copy due to the new one applying its "you can only control 1" restriction.
