Konami has announced the Monster Type Festival Event, to be held from August 17th to August 29th
An event-exclusive banlist has already been announced for this event.
Rules
In this event, participants will join one of two groups, each with a different Forbidden/Limited List, and Duels will be played between the groups. You can change the group you are in at any time.
The DARK group can only use DARK monsters, and the LIGHT group can only LIGHT monsters. Some cards will be unavailable for the sake of game balance.
Your opponents will usually be from a different group than the one you have joined. However, if an opponent cannot be found within a certain period of time, you may be matched with a player from the same group.
You can only use LIGHT and DARK attribute Monsters in Main and Extra Deck, depending on your team - Every other Attribute is Banned!
Outside of already-banned cards, Burn Cards, Self-TK cards, common Floodgates, etc. are also banned. Here's some notable highlights:
