Master Duel Meta Report: Flame of Fury + Record of Noble Spirits
The pack release cycle is over and with it another format. While master duel releases are often hit or miss, this time around was a resounding hit in Flame of Fury. While many feared the incoming Kashtira support due to its reign of terror in the OCG and TCG alike, the deck failed to perform as well in the Master Duel meta. while still a very highly represented deck, it failed to dethrone Purrely as the most successful deck of the format. The introduction of the game-warping Loading... has likewise caused a major shift in deck building as well as giving the mandatory effect of Loading... some dangerous potential for punishment.
The extra Selection Pack, Record of Noble Spirits, was similar to all historical extra packs: mostly uncompetitive but legacy and/or fan favorite decktypes. Record of Noble Spirits brought to the table not only the Tellarknight support that has been long-awaited, but also the biggest source of copium for over a decade in Loading..., a card noteworthy for not only having a simultaneous OCG and Master Duel release date, but also for having a reputation for being extremely strong despite having zero relevant decks in which it is playable in Master Duel, and barely played in decks it is relevant in.
Finally, note that these forthcoming statistics are inclusive of Duelist Cup top 100 decklists.
Purrely
Purrely retains its spot as the dominant deck of the format, posing a considerable wall to any deck without atypical forms of removal, with the potential to sit on a wall impenetrable even to high ATK monsters like Loading... and proving especially difficult for newly competitive Kashtira decks to defeat.

Kashtira unsurprisingly has made its mark on the Master Duel meta, though less so than some might have expected. with the predictable banning of Loading..., the deck is not nearly as degenerate as it could potentially be, but the sheer power of Loading..., especially in multiples, makes the deck a force to be reckoned with.
