Notes & Combos

This decklist is made with a new player in mind, using little to no investment outside of bundle deals which are recommended for any new player to obtain. This decklist is a starter/introduction deck to zombies and is not competitively viable, it will NOT perform well in a higher ladder setting.

Priority for additional cards to be added to the deck begins with the zombie boss monster, Doomking Balerdroch. Recent zombie variants only play x1 copy of Doomking but control style variants still want x2 most of the time, in this list Doomking can replace a copy of Alghoul and/or 1-2 copies of Bolan. After that, priority goes to cards like Foolish Burial, Beatrice for the extra deck, Baronne, Vampire Sucker, Vampire Fascinator, Link 3 and 4 Yuki-Onna before branching to other techs/engines.

Replaceable cards in the deck are Plaguespreader Zombie, Zombie Master, Shiranui Spiritmaster + Swallow Slash trap, x2 out of x3 Bolan (keep x1), x1 out of x2 Alghoul (keep x1), Haunted Zombies (this can be used in some control builds but is typically outed for staple techs), Raigeki and Monster Reborn are not mandatory they are just cheaper options for techs.

As mentioned at the beginning this decklist is meant to be a stepping stone into playing zombie decks, there are MANY different variants and ways you can create unique decklists and playstyles using zombies and I highly encourage looking into the many different options before investing too much into any specific one.
