Prerequisites

  • A registered Konami ID linked to your master duel game
  • Must login to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB using the same Konami ID
  • If the Yu-Gi-Oh! DB website asks to login with Game Card ID just click "I don't have a game card ID" and fill some basic information to proceed

Export Guide

- Via the MDM extension (Recommended): Download on Firefox, or Chromium Browsers
For Chromium browsers (Chrome/Edge/Opera/Brave...etc) just click "Add to chrome" on the store page and it'll work on most if not all chromium browsers.
After using the extension, go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

  2. Go to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB and click My Deck => Add a Deck
  3. Once the deck page loads click Edit then do one of the following based on the platform your device is running:
    • (PC Only): Press F12 to open the DevTools window => Navigate to the Console tab in the window => Paste the export code => Hit Enter
    • OR (Other platforms/PC): In the address bar of the current tab remove the URL and type "javascript:" without the quotations then paste the export code, then if you're on mobile look for the *globe* icon and tap on it to run the code (Chrome only), for PC users just hit enter.
  4. The deck will save automatically
  5. Go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

Notes & Combos

Introdcution: Bystial Runick is a grind game control deck by outresourcing your opponent by interrupting your opponent by either decking your opponent out or by OTK after a battle phase skip.

Unique Tech Card Usages and Reasonsings

  • Blazing Cartesia: serves 3 purposes. Recursive tuner, counter hand traps, and interupt opponents. I have seen decks take it out, however; its quick effect servers as a counter hand trap for Hugin. the effect to have Granguignol can make possible plays sending bystials to the graveyard. Lasly, if Granguignol is in the grave or field and your opponent special summons a monster with card effect, you can summon Luluwalilth, which can negate a card on field if a extra deck card leaves the field. It hardly comes up, but this is a another target for Quem if Ecclesia is in the graveyard already.
  • Branded Regained: I have seen many Bystial Runick players only have one copy but I play two copies due to value of recursion. Most my opponents are fixated on destrying Runick Fountain, that the true recursion is Branded Regained. Regained is very verstile and have had many situations where my back row is banished/destroyed, and having the second copy is what keeps me in the game.
  • Duality: MVP of the deck. It's main purpose to do have hugin's effect resolve from opponent's hand traps. Duality is way more, its free draw from recycle cards from the grave and to summon Fabled Unicorn. Unicorn is very managable to use in this deck, esspecially in turn one. (inspired from Josh Schmidt).

Hand Traps:

Hand traps was very difficult to add in this deck for me because I had experience of drawing to many and not being able to have full combo due to being interuppted or not having any one card combos. Bystials also serve as handtraps,so I was not too worried inconsistencies. I chose these handtraps with the mindset of agression to push with my quem and runick combos to syncro climb.

Geri Due to the extra deck being very tight, Geri was played conservatively due to Fountain being limited. Geri can be used to grab fountain if destroyed is a duality target for Fabled Unicorn and could still be put back in the extra deck for next turn if fountain is destroyed again.
