Notes & Combos
Post Branded set Pure Zoodiac. To hell with Adventure, tired of drawing bricks. Just handtraps in my opening hands.
Explanation of handtrap choices:
- D. D. Crow. Good against Branded decks, hit Branded in Red target to negate their play. It can also be used against Tenyi decks to banish their Wyrms or Hanqdon extenders. Alternative: You can run Belle instead, but I think Belle is worse against Branded and that's like the entire reason D. D. Crow is even in this deck.
- Veiler, Imperm. Negates are good in this meta + I run Selene for Accesscode.
- Maxx C, Ash. Master Duel tax.
- Dimension Shifter. Straight up ends turns against most meta decks, except Flunder.
- Ogre doko? Removed it to have 40 cards, add her if you want.
Note: If I had more Impems or Veilers I'd run one more of either instead of 3 D.D. Crow!
Other cards:
- Duster, Lightning Storm, Cosmic. Removing backrow is more important than ever, forcing Branded in Red early wins games, in addition to Eldlich and Flunder still terrorizing the ladder.
- Megaclops. If you manage to summon this big boy versus Branded, you won the game 8 times out of 10 (other 2 times Dracoback outs it).
Things that I'm considering:
- Is there a better boardbreaker than Droplet? Droplet is a bit unreliable in a control deck.
- Was cutting Ogre a good idea? Running 42 cards is not a big deal.
- More handtraps question mark?
