Notes & Combos
Shoutout to TheShapesofsnatches for the decklist, it was a copy of his besides -1 Kitt for +1 Eldich for floodgates.
What I learned this season going to Diamond:
- Against Pure Spright you have a good matchup
- Runick Spright is much more difficult to deal with
- Runick stun, if they flip rivarly you might as well scoop with no backrow removal outside of ELdlich.
Against the Runick variants, it really came down to Masquerade turbo
Personal thoughts
- Honestly biggest glaring thing is no Maxx C, and it wasn't missed.
- Branded Banishment really came in clutch in a lot of games, especially if you also can set a Branded in Red
- Eldich didn't really come up as often as I thought it would. I added it with the intent of stopping skilldrain and Rivalry, but it got much more use as a 3500 body for an OTK.
- I wish I could run Mercourier at 3
- I need more practice, but I couldn't find many lines to get into Drago, but against Spright it's great because they can't use their monsters for Link\XYZ because of the level restriction.
- I was torn between 2 or 3 Albion, and 2 seems perfect. If I changed the extra deck any I would try running Lubellion at 1
- I opened more drivers than I did Gamma
- Branded Lost is absolutely insane, if you have Fusion in hand, I would almost always recommend using Aluber search on Lost
- The grind game is strong, sometimes think of running Retribution at 2, but it's a brick in your hand, but it's good to recycle spells if you only have 1 Despian Tragedy in grave for BiR\Banishment.
- I would almost always dump Retribution off of Albion, but I changed it up depending on my hand to dump Opening for the protection.
Very fun deck to play.
Came home played some games at Diamond 5 and just uploaded the replays went 5-1.
