Notes & Combos

I really enjoy playing this deck as the Gate Guardian cards can offer much needed negates that Kashtira are missing. I keep forgetting that you want to make sure you have done all the Gate Guardian plays before finishing the Kashtira plays as Theosis and Riseheart both lock you into XYZs from that point on. I chose to play links in mine to give some extra use to the magician souls and after a rather frustrating duel vs a Scareclaw Triheart

Other cards I played during the Duelist Cup, both Main Deck and Extra Deck:

  1. Gate Guardian of Thunder and Wind: Useful for grabbing the field spell or double attack for the pop

  2. Chengying: Good synergy with the Contact fusion of the Gate Guardians. Take either this or Baronne, whichever you prefer or have

  3. Red Eyes Flare Metal Dragon: Burn Damage, not much to say

  4. Fusion Deployment: Good for the Gate Guardian side but really hurts the Kashtira side. Fusion Conscription may be a better option as it doesnt lock you into fusions only.

  5. Infinitrack Goliath: By Banishing it with Pot of P, your Ariseheart can pick it up for the extra protection
