Notes & Combos
Adventure DPE? What year is it anyway? Turns out, 2018 Problems Require 2022 Solutions.
For the purposes of honesty I'll say that I didn't fully climb DC with this deck alone, up to DL16 I mixed it up and played Vaalmonica and Yubel too, but from 17 onwards I was playing this list.
To start: I don't think the Rokket package is worth playing. While it's pretty cool that you can turn any Crusadia + any extender into a 1.5 card combo into Apollousa + Borrelend, and if you have an extender after that you could convert it into either 3 negate savage attaching Codebreaker Virus Berserker or make Verte into DPE or just link for SP.
The problem with this line of play is that Maxx C is legal, and you're giving them at least 10 draws to put up a board that's honestly kind of modest when you're dedicating the majority of your extra deck slots into this combo line. Furthermore, this line of play has absolutely NO turn 3 followup, you are putting all your eggs into this build-a-board negate spam setup.
So, what would I play instead? If I had been sent a week back in time, I'd just cut the dragon stuff altogether and fill the slots with generic staples. The Crusadia setup I found to work better is a more toolbox-y gameplan where you mainly use the Crusadia engine as a 1.5 card enabler to go into DPE and SP, while your Adventurer and Horus packages insulate your plays and fish for handtraps before you finally dedicate your very fragile normal summon. I was initially kind of hesitant regarding the Horus package but it really adds a lot of followup with all the free bodies and letting you plus if your opponent removes parts of your board. The objective is to put out a variety of moderate threats to put the opponent in an awkward position.
Let's say they open raigeki, SP is forced to tag itself out, but we'll let DPE get blown up so the Horuses trigger and Duamutef hopefully draws into handtraps. This is an optimistic hypothetical since it's assuming we open into the Crusadia and Horus engine, but in my experience you would usually open into a random 2 combination of these packages.
One benefit of running all this stuff is that against lesser opens, you can often gas your way into a decent setup with at least 2 points of interaction, and you can occasionally jumpscare people into Equimax OTK shenanigans lol
