Notes & Combos

The deck is difficult to utilize. The basic essence of the strategy is to use Servant to summon a negate (Jackal King or Endymion) from the deck. Then go into Electrumite to pull another negate from the deck. Use Electrumite to pop any pendulums in your hand to to fix your scales (pop a low scale [scale 2 or 4] to grab a high scale [scale 8] or vice versa. Then after using all your draw spells and searches, pendulum summon the two negates from your extra deck to Electrumite's zones and two negates from your hand that you drew into or searched. Then link into Selene and use Magister to summon back a negate you linked with (preferably Endymion) to get out 6 negates.

The deck gets more complicated when trying to anticipate handtraps or when you get a hand that looks like a brick. Most hands can be fixed to get a great board simply by finding the route but some hands are fragile and can die to a specific disruption (but not just any disruption).

Going second, the deck's strategy is to build enough counters on your field to trigger Endymion's scale effect and blow away the opponent's board. Most decks end on monster disruption (banishing them from the field or negating monster effects) so it's not as difficult whatsoever to still play going second since you're just using spell effects. It's much more reliable to not commit a monster to the field until Endymion blows away the board and this is done most easily with Citadel to collect all the counters. If your opponent has an omni negate, they can negate Endymion's scale effect so then the strategy becomes trying to summon negates from the deck specifically to counter your opponent's interactions. If they have Savage Dragon or Barrone, summon Jackal King so they can't negate Endymion (same going first when you're protecting Electrumite from handtraps). If your opponent has Runic Destruction or Spright Smashers, summon Endymion to negate that as well. If they have both monster negates and spell and trap negates, your goal is to begin matching those negates with your monsters to make Endymion's effect go by smoothly. But keep in mind, most people don't know what this deck does so they usually use up their disruptions on effects that don't matter, making it easier to win going second.
