Notes & Combos
Thanks to this deck, I managed to reach the second stage of this month's DUELIST CUP with three account. Here is what I think about it:
- Droll & Lock Bird is the star of this Duel Cup in my opinion and a must since it shuts down so many decks.
- Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring helps a lot as well, and in the worst-case scenario, it eats up your opponent's Called by the Grave, which gives a chance for other cards to go undisrupted.
- Maxx "C" is Maxx "C". If it goes through, your opponent will either pass with a few backrow cards, or go all out, giving you plenty of options in your next turn. 99% percent of the time, it is your win.
- Super Polymerization is so super helpful. So many times did I face opponents using Dimensional Barrier, thinking they are safe for at least another turn, just for Garura, Wings of Resonant Life to finish the job. Tempai players also go to the battle face feeling confidence they can dodge an Infinite Impermanence, just to get hit with the "Neither player can activate cards or effects in response to this card's activation."
- Bystial Magnamhut is always welcome in the hand since it can disrupt your opponent's combo, help save your LP as a last-ditch effort, and set up your combo starters during your opponent's turn.
- I never had the opportunity to summon World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke, but it is there just in case. You can drop it for one of the rose dragons.
- Of course, there is nothing better than using a Red Reboot against a trap focused deck. I usually like to take my time before I activate it, and during all the duels I had, it never failed.
