Notes & Combos
This is my blind second Kash list, similar to the typical build but with 3 thrust and 3 pank for added consistency/ power. I usually like going first decks that are decent going second, however typical Kash builds for going first are very bricky, and planet pathfinder is a big chokepoint, especially going second. Even when you do get combo, the board is fairly easy to out. Because of all of this, I went with blind second, which offers better consistency, better reliability (doesn't lose to random stuff thanks to board breakers) and having more options. Since I'm going second and breaking my opponents board, who has committed their resources most times, I don't even need kash combo and can just go for either Zeus line with 2 level 7s or otk line also with 2 7s, which is easy to do and go to option under maxx c.
My decklist has mostly remained the same and I'll explain some choices: I went no conventional handtraps so I don't play into thrust/talents or called by/ crossout, and with there being not many toxic psuedo ftk combo strats in the meta I was able to get away with mainly board breakers; I did also run 6 handtraps being gamma and imperm, which not only play around the above cards but also function as board breakers and are not dead draws (gamma sometimes plays into ttt but usually I'll hold it, use power spell, negate, chain gamma for example, or use in draw phase vs purrely). I'm running 3 thrust, which is the big incentive to play blind second to begin with, as it can get me to engine or any power spell. Unfortunately, with terra banned, I rely on prosperity to get me into engine, which does fail when I've used desires that same turn, but this is very rare. I'm running dark hole, talents, duster, herald, and evenly as thrust targets, and these sometimes work interchangeably so banishing one off desires means you can grab another. Pank is mvp of this deck, and very underrated as this card is only at 3 in MD; being an extender as well as solid removal makes it a great fit, and even if it wasn't an extender it would still be worth playing since any power spell + pank should clear most boards.
The choices I'm feeling a bit iffy with are enemy controller and talents. econ is great in blind second kash because it can dodge a targeting disruption and steal a monster, which is brutal in mirror. As for talents, I might try 2 copies, but it has bricked me before alongside 3 thrust. Alternatives for econ are kaiju, eclipse, or cosmic/twisters.
