Notes & Combos

Messed around with a ton of different Raika builds and landed on this one in the end. Had some good luck using Cattycorn + Therion as well to get an omni negate but it was a lot of jumping through hoops to get there, and decided to just play a really solid build with a lot of non engine.

Slightly bigger than 40 because I think the deck has a lot of 1 card combo starters and some garnet-ish cards you don't really want to draw. Never had an issue with bricking on this build.

Endboard is typically:

• Zer'oll lock
• Stag
• Coils
• Strenna + Rikka Princess
• Hyperyton
• Bengaylancer or Ogdoabyss (haven't fit both into one board yet lol)
• Raika Trap
• Raika Bloom
• Draw 3 in end phase

Tech choices:

Big Ogdos: They help in the grind game, can be sent and revived with Serpent Strike, Ogdoabyss's effect is very strong as an interupt. The deck kinda lacks removal otherwise so I think it helps a lot. Neph can also revive aliens at the end of your combo which can help when you're short on reptile link materials.

Reptilianne stuff: THE YUBEL DELETER. Explode the yubel field and draw like 3-4 cards feels great. Search Lamia off echidna and then lamia + an ogdo goes into Hydra. You can still pop 2-non Yoob monsters with this combo. Yubel is just giga value with echidna searching 3-4 reptiles too before the pop and draw.

Serpentine Princess: Very nice with the raika stuff, connects you to evil seed and lonefire by shuffling back in deck with raika GY effect. Can be sent to GY with serpent strike and revived for extensions.

Lonefire: Amazing in this deck, can be revived with beetle in your combo and it's an old card, so not OPT meaning you can use it multiple times to search seed and then search rikka princess or Cattycorn (was running this with therion for a bit, it's good)

All in all, love this deck! It's actually really solid and can play through a good bit of interupts, I legit think it's competitive. Could see it at least being a solid tier 3 once it's fully fleshed out. Snake rain is broken.
