Compared to the Xyz/Link event, Nouvelles seemed to shine a lot more in this festival. The deck went 11-2, with a 7 win streak to round off the gem rewards.

As it turns out, losing Dyna Mondo is completely fine if it means most high power decks are unplayable. Most decks in this event just don't have the strength to break through the 5-10+ in card advantage you have if you make it to the grind game, which you almost always do.

As mentioned above, we lose Dyna Mondo, and we don't have concours or diviner ED targets again, but the impcantations being legal this time make up for it (in a 60 card pile at least). I added an extra chalislime for more consistency too.

I'm also playing hungry burger just for the extra interaction at the end of the chain. I normally don't because I have ritual bricking PTSD, but with no dyna the extra interaction was worth it. Staff recipe is a similar idea, just an extra source of interaction if we already have the counter.

There were a lot of Yubel decks weirdly enough, which is very funny for us since this deck kind of deletes their win con of attacking you, especially with no phantom.

The main difficulty of playing the deck in this format comes from managing your grave. Since you don't have dyna mondo to link away bodies and shuffle back resources, you really have to pay attention to which of your monsters you tribute, and which targets you choose to shuffle back.

Glasya was especially important for that reason. I found myself going into it a lot just to shuffle back important cards, like the 1 of impcantations, or the level 5 and 6. Using poeltis to tribute balameuniere or baelgrill then immediately shuffling them back with glasya was one of my most common interactions for resetting resources, and it helped win in every single grind game.
