Notes & Combos

This is certainly a deck of all time, but I had a lot of fun with it.

Basic combo with pareidolia and rev synchron is:

  1. Activate pareidolia add serziel
  2. NS serziel add whatever you need (normally unleashed)
  3. Synchro summon AFD with rev synchron in hand
  4. Pop paredolia with AFD, use effect to add serziel back to hand
  5. SS serziel from hand with AFD
  6. Summon rev synchron from gy and make crystal wing

Admittedly, if you don't find rev synchron, you're just playing evil eye without links, which can still be good in the event with handtraps and azamina in hand. With Azamina, you can commit to it first for the silvia omni, or grab debtors to make sol on opponents turn.

How you sequence and board build is very dependent on your opening hand, and you have a lot of flexibility in your options. If you don't have the tribute for deception, you might want to commit to the evil eye chunk of the deck before azamina so you can use catoblepas as a free body.

If you don't see the field spell you'll need to use a search to grab awakening to reborn serziel instead. It could also just be better to not commit to the synchro portion of the deck and just search a trap for the layered interaction. You could also use rev synchron as cost for deception, or make a level 10 synchro with diabell if you don't need either body.

Going second, Azamina can bait out interaction, and you can always go into black rose or scarlight to try wipe the board. Gorgoneio can also be good for otk potential.

Possible other techs you could run include:

  • Therion Discolosseum and Regulus. This gives you a search target for AFD pop pareidolia.
  • Visas Amritara and Mannadium Reframing for your level 8 synchro, which gives you more layered interaction.

Ultimately I didn't choose to run those because I really felt it the times I opened them. The biggest weakness of the deck is that you want to see a starter for each of the 3 parts of the deck in your opening hand to reach your highest ceiling. For that reason, you really want any card you draw that isn't one of those to be immediately useful to make up for that.
