Notes & Combos
Have you ever just.. wanted to torture someone?
Introducing Melffy Ghostrick. The Ghostricks remain a good resource loop that can get your through multiple attacks and in a pinch can set monsters with Fairy. Ghostrick Break is fantastic and it can really boost your resources if you get low, including summoning Alucard back and then recycling the Break.
For this event Ghostricks are missing Ghostrick Shot, losing some of the speed of the deck. Ghostrick Angel isn't avaliable so you can't get the S/T searches and worse of all in this hybrid Ghostrick Socuteboss isn't legal to work with all the Melffy. On the Melffy side of things, we're missing Melffy Catty. That would've really helped in a lot of situations to search out Pinny to use in the hand.
So we're left with a deck that's missing a bit from both sides. Here we go with the ability to bounce cards back to the deck there is reliance on Merry Melffy and then tagging out into Melffy of the Forest to give yourself another negate. Hide and Seek is great for pushing the resources loop again, then you have Staring Contest to just get you into both the Wally or Pinny because we don't have Catty. Staring Contest is also very good to recur resources as you just have to put one back from your hand and if you have the Melffies running around then you will have plenty. The Melffy portion of the deck really does a lot of the heavy lifting, but the Ghostrick part can keep your opponents at bay.
If you have Ghostrick Jiangshi out, you can SS Hop Ear and get yourself to Ametrix, which can stall your opponent attempt to go into battle (which is already a tough job with these two decks). We don't have a really reliable synchro 10... or rather I'm not willing to craft Satelite Warrior, but it did come up because a Merry on board with the Desert Locus can get you there, same with Accel Synchro Stardust. Finally a card I don't have but could probably put some pressure on your opponent is Joyous Melffy, just to get your attacks in there. Crumble Logos can sometimes do work since it can stop your opponent from using certain cards again, however even in this event they'll probably just link the card off to get out from underneath it. If you go really late game, Melffy Mommy can be an ender against C62 and other big beaters, but you not very likely.
Weighbridge is like psuedo-Evenly Matched and it can be very useful especially since we're playing so defensively.
