Notes & Combos

This list is inspired by MattDawg42 list from last month, but I've made some tweaks to the list to better adapt to the meta.

Reasoning and grass help a lot to set up the Eldlich engine in the GY and mill your transaction rollback + blowout traps. Rollback in hand in a lot of match ups it's a brick, so I've added Paleozoic to help me get rollback out of my hand and deal with some annoying boss monsters and floodgates (macro cosmos and Necrovaley).

Fiend comedian worked pretty well in most matchups. Against snake eyes it is pretty useful to get rid of their GY interactions (Princess, wanted, amblowhale, ...) and versus Lab you can get rid of their engine (furniture, welcomes, rollback).

Needle ceiling, torrential tribute, daruma, punishment are there to help break boards when going second. I was surprised of how many times I used transaction rollback + evenly match to obliterate boards during the climb (at least 5 times in M5 to M1).

During the climb in master most decks I faced were Snake-eyes, Labrynth, Stun and some unchained. Match up against stun is very favorable to us, unless they set up a macro cosmos, then it becomes harder to break their board.

Lord of the Heavenly prison effect to protect face down cards is very strong against unchained variants, as they rely a lot on destructing their face down traps to make their combos.

Extra deck is used as punishment targets, OTK line with dreadnought canon and to put eldlich traps in GY. Almost never summoned chaos angel.

Tip: Remember that scarlet sanguine and white destiny locks you into zombie monsters only so remember to IDP before getting locked. Always try to bait IP, some madlads are using topologic trisbaena to banish all traps.
