The non-engine is lifted directly from Freedume's DC run. It definitely does not account for R-ACE. I would have preferred to play Gamma over Droll since it can deal with Turbuence without worrying about targeting protection or Emergency dodging. Being able to remove Snake Eye Ash's body is huge. I believe Ogre is better suited paired with other handtraps - it cant stop combos from happening but it can trade with Temple and I:P if your other handtrap is able to pare down their combo. I'd likely play more Nib with this in mind because its the same principle but Nib has higher impact.

One line I came across was Transcode revive Splash + 2 bodies was 8100 damage and 2 bounces:

  1. Revive Splash with Transcode
  2. Splash + 1 Body make Protectcode
  3. Protectcode + 2nd Body make Firewall Dragon underneath Transcode
  4. Enter BP. Revive Protectcode (Banish Almiraj/Linguriboh and Splash Mage) and bounce 2 monsters since Firewall is colinked to Transcode and Protectcode

For this line you can also add handtraps from GY and pivot to Terahertz if needed. The total damage is Transcode (2800) + Firewall Dragon (3000) + Protectcode (2300) = 8100. The main benefit is that you threaten game before committing to Terahertz or Crystal Heart, though Nib was not as common in these situations (most people ran 1 Nib!)

This deck does leave me with a Heatsoul-shaped hole in my heart. There are scrappy gamestates where the draw is useful especially to offset the minus from small world or handtraps.

Matchup Breakdown (115 Duels; 58 Heads, 57 Tails)
  • 28 Snake-Eye (24.3%, W/R = 67%)
  • 8 Rescue-ACE (7.0%, W/R = 62%)
  • 5 Bystial Branded 4.3%, W/R = 100%)
  • 5 Mathmech (4.3%, W/R = 60%)
  • 5 SHS (4.3%, W/R = 60%)
  • 5 Tearlament (4.3%, W/R = 60%)

Snake Eyes still has a lot of representation in ladder and it feels like you cover R-ACE already by preparing for SE. R-ACE's implementation of the Snake Eye engine seems reliant on Hydrant hitting the field without using your normal summon, so Poplar or Original Sinful Spoils had a large target on its back. Most of the time, first action Bonfire activation would telegraph R-ACE. I was expecting more R-ACE, but maybe we'll see a shift after Wanted and Snake Eye Ash semi limits are implemented.
