Despite this, I still want to put my thoughts on Enigmaster Packbit. I'm not sure if it made a difference in my climb but being able to synchro summon this card going 2nd is valuable. This deck lacks removal until your opponent allows you to make Accesscode. It's a versatile card, but the extra deck is now beginning to be tight.

  • Besides the S:P package (V-LAN, S:P, I:P), there is Almiraj or Aggregator. This format does favor removal, whether its to prevent TY-PHON or S:P from breaking your board.
  • The other option is to play Singularity over the S:P package because its more compact. There is value in having all 3 ED mons for Terahertz because you can decide between monster removal, face-up card negation or S/T negation. Singularity is slightly more resources than S:P combo. To make it 1-card it relies on Firewall Dragon, Protectcode, & V-LAN taking up those slots anyway.
  • The final option is to just not play either Singularity or S:P. I think this is valid but I don't believe Terahertz on its own will win games without Superfactorial. People know to prevent Superfactorial and so winning without it makes a difference. Snake Eyes, Fire King, Yubel, Tear, and Voiceless have in-engine checks to Terahertz which it makes it difficult unless we soak up their handtraps going 1st. Bystials are also popular as a response to Yubel which checks Superfactorial.

Banish 3 for Prosperity still performs, but I only recommend it because it keeps the deck at 40 cards and occupies 1 deck slot. If you go above 40, you'll see Prosperity much less and you might as well play more engine (Defenser / Aratama).

Matchup Breakdown (92 Duels; 52 Heads, 40 Tails)
  • 12 SEFK (13%, W/R = 58%)
  • 12 Yubel (13%, W/R = 75%)
  • 12 VoVo (13%, W/R = 58%)

Honorable Mentions: 8 Tearlaments, 5 Stun & Horus, 4 Centur-Ion

Voiceless Voice has a strong showing, but it is not surprising. The deck eats handtraps due to Sauravis preventing targeting negation and layered Ash targets. Maxx discourages them from comboing further into Dyna Mondo, but they don't need that card to win. This makes me consider Ogre and Droll as they overlap somewhat with Yubel and SEFK. Ogre needs to be paired much like Nibiru.
