Notes & Combos

The philosophy of this build of CBs is to minimize the bricks by cutting all of the janky engines that are required to set up floodgates or unbreakable boards. Yes, those boards will win you games, but only when they are successfully set up. The prevalance of handtraps, combined with a higher chance to open a bricked hand reduces the chance of being able to set up the winning board in the first place. So for this season, I opted to use engines that play closer to the ground, are impactful on their own, and can co-exist on the board. The Kashtira engine puts pressure on the opponent, while providing recursion. The Horus engine provides negates in the form of Hope Harbinger and Photon Lord, extenders, and recusrion. The primary game plan for the CB engine is to set up S:P + Colossus, and depending on the extenders you draw, get the Horus field spell and/or Crystal Miracle. That, combined with the non-engine drawn is usually enough to win going first. Kashtira Unicorn was the goat. It baited out interruptions like no one's business. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this build. It's the least bricky Overdrive build I've played so far. Winrate: 104-80 (56.5% WR)
