Notes & Combos
Floodgate Labrynth feat. the new tech Simultaneous Equation Cannon. Too good not to be playing in Lab now, think it's better than furniture with Rollback and Black Goat.
Tech choices:
- Simultaneous Equation Cannon: The new best normal trap to come out. Super satisfying to resolve and if you time it right, it soloes games. Good against fusion, synchro, and xyz decks; not good against link or low level/rank decks.
- Karma Cannon: The former best normal trap. Best trap into Tenpai in MP1 if you have a monster on field. Good against most decks aside from fusion.
- Torrential Tribute: This kills link and synchro decks reasonably well. Time it right and it ends the turn.
- Witch's Strike: The spicy tech. It's probably good into the current meta with the amount of decks running omni-negates. Not a lot of decks are floating too crazy right now, so the pops are good and destroying the hand is chef's kiss.
- Runick spells: Since we're using the Runick fusions in the ED, I'm running some spells for utility (backrow protection or some pops or negates).
- Floodgates: Rivalry, Gozen, There Can Be Only One, Skill Drain, Summon Limit, and D-Barrier. All still decent into the current meta.
- Counter-traps: Solemn Strike and Draco-Utopian Aura; perfect cards to use when the meta makes a lot of negates.
- No handtraps: A given.
Replays
ID: 313-002-811
I have some replays from the Duelist cup but the other replays are from ranked matches. Replays either feature the floodgates and how they work in the meta or the normal traps.
- Centurion: Floodgate solo'd.
- Tenpai: Skill drain solo'd.
- Marincess: Got evenly'd, but 1 summon limit is all you need.
- Going 2nd vs Lab mirror: Dodge their equation cannon + resolve your own = dub.
- Going 2nd vs Voiceless Voice: Draco-Utopian Aura and math cannon go brrr.
