Decided to climb early for some reason and run with SPoly. It worked but:

I left in one copy of Belle from my DC list which was partly targetted at Lab. It can come up but I'd highly recommend swapping it. Possibly the same for the DD Crows. I ran into much less Gimmick Puppet than usual but there was a lot of Tearlament around now where the crows were okay. Otherwise those three could be cut for your preferred cards.

SPoly is fun but I still feel like Droplet is probably better. SPoly does have its benefits though, it ruins Tenpai and the Fiend decks (Yubel/Lab) and it actually removes the threats so you don't have to still deal with Chundra on Turn 3/4 while you're top decking. \nDroplet is probably more stable when going second. There was also a handful of degenerate turbo-combo decks doing handripping etc where breakers in general were just bad anyway.

Tenpai was as it always is. Surprisingly doable if you didn't brick and they don't storm you. Sometimes even when they storm you. Other games you just die instantly. Win rate against them was probably around 50%. Daruma, Super Poly and Jioh will end their turn. Just remember to force them to attack the Jioh instead of trying to summon it face up in the battle phase.

I decided to go back to what got me to master 5 but I had to switch things up a bit since tenpai is running around with board breakers and gimmick puppet is commiting ftks. Swamp Deity has saved me a few times in my climb from blow out cards like duster and stopping stuff like triple tatic talent depending on the situation and it doesn't target so you can hit monsters that have targeting immunity. d.d. crow was saving me a lot as well since the decks I ran into liked using there gy and its not a hard once per turn so if they use call by or cross out you can chain another one. And belle protecting your hand traps from called by is also really good since not everyone is running her as a crossout target so its more likely to resolve. the ratios of swamp deity you can mess around with since silhouhatte rabbit can set it from the deck. Sorry for the long notes but I figured I had to talk about what I ran into on the ladder since we all have to adjust to what we run into more often on the ladder.

I didn't notice until uploading the deck that I had 2x Daruma. You could probably cut the Crossout for the third copy since there's a lot of handtraps we can't hit with it. Otherwise Crossout has exactly one job: Stop Ash Blossom. So many decks now will absolutely murder you for getting your Duplication Ashed - no more coping hiding behind a set Tobari.

With this list Tenpai is a complete hand comparison, but the win rate was honestly not as bad as I thought it would be. They can't always open Storms. Even if they do its sometimes good to consider that less can be more in the matchup: You can force them to attack a face down Jioh if its the only valid target and then book them in the damage step to avoid them chaining a quick synchro. Having a wayward Tobari or something on the field too will ruin it since they can get to Transcedent off of it before having to attack the Jioh.

The handtrap lineup is mostly focused on Tenpai and Gimmick Puppet and Nibiru is also to stop you getting shut down by things like White Woods and the turbo combo decks out there trying to prey on Tenpai.

Also someone inevitably asks if they need the Ultimate Insect. No you don't.

now that Pot of Prosperity is banned, Hidden Village of Ninjitsu Arts takes it's place. Honestly...the deck works way better with Village, it's kind of crazy. Card is auto win if you know what you're doing. same standard 25 card core so i'll go over the 15 non-engine tech: Ash and Maxx are mandatory imo. Ghost Ogre is great in this format and will continue to be good. Dimensional Barrier because you can chain it to your back row being swept and call Synchro. 2 Called and 1 TCBOO to close it out since they perform extremely well.

Wanted to try something lower to the ground and more ninja focused. Having access to isolde ninja lines off of FFS is nice and the FS traps both synergize well with dancing leaves. I think this plays into maxx C better than the other combo ninja variants.

9 win streak to Max Level. most replays from that streak too. as usual, here to explain the non-engine; Maxx, Ash and Imperm are standard. Ghost Ogre to deal with Tenpai of course (almost auto win against them every time you see this in hand) and it's not bad if you know how to use it against other decks as well. Ghost Belle as the last card because I wanted to be prepared for Labrynth since they're the biggest counter to Tenpai (was not wrong for this, fought about 8 Lab players in total and crushed them all) and Belle actually has applications against Tenpai (use it on Bident!) and Yubel (Phantom of Yubel changes your effect, they destroy Spirit, you Belle the Spirit eff right after)

Pretty much the same as my ladder list. Still not sure about Ninjitsu ratios. Even though it feels bad to run Notebook it keeps on getting me out of binds and cracking boards that feels like it has no right breaking.

Ran into a lot of Mathmech, 60 Card Tear, Chimera and Gimmick Puppet so Crow ended up putting in quite a bit of work.

Was looking at my side deck for my TCG list and thought "what if I knew I was going first against Tenpai? what would I play?" and put together this monstrosity. I only ran into Tenpai about 3 times, only once on the run from Master 2 to 1. TCBOO won me the game every time it came up. Solemn was great. Contact "C" won me a few games against Mathmech and Ritual Beast funny enough, the latter of which I saw a ton of near the top. Grave of the Super Ancient Organism was fire and you'll see it come up in my replays against **** near everything. Meizen still allows everyone else to attack directly while it's up and you can Yagu spam control since he's Level 5.

The Ninja core is 25 cards (Reinforcement of the Army and Pot of Prosperity included) and then you just tailor your 15 non-engine to the season and trends. this time it was Maxx, Ash, Ghost Ogre, Imperm (I still like this) and Dimensional Barrier. Solemn Judgment might be better than Imperm but losing coin flip and not fighting Tenpai is something that happens often lol. 3 Duplication and 3 Dancing Leaves because want to see at least one copy in hand opening and if you open both, you have full combo even with a set hand trap. enjoy!

Back on a more normal list after slacking off last month. Decided to cool it on anti Tenpai cards to feel out the format and it was still just good enough to crack Master.\nI kept in White Dragon Ninja and Freezing with triple leaves to try and guarantee it turn 1 with some limited success.\nWin Rate against Tenpai was maybe around 40% - not great but not impossible. Without the right cards you sometimes just lose to Storms or get sacked by Reboot - had me wishing I had books sometimes.

You might be better off cutting WDN/Freezing and maybe a leaf for floodgates or Solemns for the Tenpai match up.

Tenpai aside though there was a LOT more decks in the format that I encountered.

M1 feels like it could be a stretch for this list so I might be changing it up for that push or be on combo.

I'ma be real chief, this deck is wack. I can't really recommend it lol. Fortunately Tenpai tends to smooth your opponent's brain.

Instead of running cool control we now use Leaves to summon White Dragon to protect floodgates, blowout cards and combat shenanigans. Quaking is funny but there might be better cards to put there.

Most of my matches in high diamond were against Tenpai and the winrate was good - but be warned that it suffered a lot against the rare times I got sent second by Yubel/Tear eetc.

Two main things to showcase:\nvs Sakana - CL1 Green, CL2 Yagu banish Sangen is your standard play to sit on. In this game I had to save it for Transcendant because of the brick hand. In games where you have better backrow you can snipe Chundra early to avoid Black Rose Dragon.

vs ??? - The sack line we're aiming for. Ideally you have 1-2 ways to bait Ash and didn't draw the garnet. Then you sit there with an indestructible floodgate or Daruma.
