Notes & Combos

The goal of the deck is either to full combo, or if that's interrupted, then you just (Or) Cust. The deck has some trouble with going second, but it can really eat hand traps like none other (so long as you don't open too many bricks :P ). I will say the deck kind of farms Tenpai, as it plays well into both hand traps and board breakers (Dingirsu stops the destroying breakers, Crescendo stops Forbidden Droplet). Now I'm not going to say this is better than Snake-Eye Fire King, but I do think the deck is competent.

Changes

Since the Dlv. Max climb, I took inspiration from the 2nd place of the recent Dkayed tournament, bit the bullet, and went over 40. As much as I love drawing Maxx "C" outs, the bricks are a bit too much.

  • The newly added Talents have been real nice.
  • I cut Jet Synchron because until recently my stupid self hadn't known of the line where a tuner Girsu + Harp makes Borreload Savage, which is waaay better.
    • This gave me space for the second Oak, which has been crazy good for ensuring proper Snake-Eye follow-up. Without it, sometimes you have OSS in GY without anything good to search, and you lose for no reason.
  • I cut Orcustrated Babel because that card is doo-doo garbage. It comes up so, so rarely. Yes it lets you grind forever with Orcust and it makes not opening Snake-Eye better. But seriously, you've already got Crescendo, Borreload Savage, and I:P into S:P all available. You should be winning already. If anything, if you want the Orcust package to be better, put back in Longirsu + Accesscode, cutting the 2nd Dingirsu and Galatea. Definitely something I'm considering.

As for the extra, I:

  • Removed Link Spider because Nibiru isn't too popular rn
  • Popped in a 2nd Galatea for combo reasons
  • Swapped out the Longirsu + Accesscode OTK pair for Zealantis + Raging Phoenix, because otherwise I relied too much on Mermaid resolving to OTK.

Some of the more common hands, the latter 2 have alternate lines
