Notes & Combos
Pulled off two 5x win streaks, in M4-M3 and M2-M1.
Inspired by RIP and various users input regarding this build. Adapted it with my own personal preferences. Took me about 8 days after finding out about this sort of build that I got Master V for the first time, starting from Platinum V. Came back after a nearly two-year hiatus. Didn't come back to the best meta lmao.
I'll admit, going first isn't necessarily a win, can have pretty brittle boards at times, of course as with all other decks. But going first, you really need Golg, Clockwork, SS floodgate, and the latter could be omni negates or one of them with Necrovalley. I took out Feather Duster because that thing is cursed appearing in like 80% of my starting hands.
Main Deck comments: Usually similar lists have 4 Statues, with 3x Water, 1x Earth, but sometimes I needed a game ender or I needed to start the lockout 1st turn, and I just found myself out of luck most of the time. Couldn't choose between Luna and Rai-Oh, so had them both at two to have the best of both worlds. 3 Luna is real fun with Morg though, so fun putting on pressure with it.
Golg with even 3 targets was manageable. But apparently people have 5x-10x. Though I managed fine with a minimum of 3, but 4-5 is the sweet spot IMO. I did appreciate having SPoly targets more than Golg. Also, Golg is entirely needed with Tenpai in this meta just trying hard to clear boards for a clear OTK.
I know Dark Bribe may be a bit controversial, but Infinite Impermanence is very common, especially with Tenpai going around in this format being able to OTK, it's exceptionally common to encounter. At least that's my experience climbing within the past two weeks on and off. My logic with Dark Bribe is that: if you can survive the turn by giving them a card that's potentially irrelevant, then the trade off is worth it.
It's a gamble, but it has serviced me well. I would have had 3x Iron Thunder if I had the UR though. But when you have weak floodgates having to be in attack mode, you can only negate so much before you're at risk with one attack.
Extra Deck comments: Clara is good against Secret Village of the Spellcasters, as well as a mat for Little Knight's second effect to banish. I very rarely used Number 41, Sky Thunder, and Chaos Angel. Though mostly used the ED for Golg fodder and SPoly targets. Thought my SPoly roster seeemed fine.
Replays
Didn't record much for Master games, but it was smoother than the D3-D1 climb, that's for sure.
Some gameplay in Diamond I and also showed my Master V promotion match at the end, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J_j_L3xmEI
