Notes & Combos
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Normal Gamma was a 2nd Gamma. Of the PSY-Frame kind.
I definitely forgot to swap it out, just like I did with Prosperity. I definitely did not keep playing Gamma, because others do it as well and because it is still legal and very much OP. Definitely.
The climb this early in the month is actually a little sweaty, which reminded me how unfun "high-level" YGO can be. Everyone plays the same half of a deck more or less and then it mainly comes down to knowing the deck you face, which you eventually will do, because you face the same decks over and over again.
You do not even need to spend time reading the cards of an archetype beforehand, just do it while you face those archetypes. Eventually, you will learn it. The game will beg you to.
Other than that, there were a lot of Lab players. A "Rogue" deck btw - at least according to Reddit. I first wanted to not use Red Reboot, one of the biggest design mistakes that ever graced this godforsaken game, but after getting D-Barrier'd a little bit too much, I was committed to matching the toxicity.
Obviously you had a lot of Tenpai, Tear, Snake-Eyes, Yubel, Voiceless Voice and Cyberse as well. Other than that, the climb was mainly marked by whoever was currently online, as I kept facing the same players. So I faced a dude who played 60-card Paleo a few times. I've faced the same Stun guy twice, just to open all the removal in both games.
Main difference to climbs later in the month is that people play more meta and that people actually make some adjustments, e.g., I have faced Mathmech players running Solemns. Literally every deck out there had an anti-Tenpai play. Well, several of them. But Handtraps are just better often enough, so it does not matter too much. You just play some more lame duels and eventually win enough.
Did I say that I hate handtraps already?
Replays
As the list is almost the same as last season, I can just link to YT replays from last season playing Tenpai:

However, because that might be considered cheating, I will also have the last 5 duels of my climb + a nail-biter against 60-card Paleo publicly watchable on my profile:
