Prerequisites

  • A registered Konami ID linked to your master duel game
  • Must login to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB using the same Konami ID
  • If the Yu-Gi-Oh! DB website asks to login with Game Card ID just click "I don't have a game card ID" and fill some basic information to proceed

Export Guide

- Via the MDM extension (Recommended): Download on Firefox, or Chromium Browsers
For Chromium browsers (Chrome/Edge/Opera/Brave...etc) just click "Add to chrome" on the store page and it'll work on most if not all chromium browsers.
After using the extension, go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

  1. Click here to copy the export code
    2.
  2. Go to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB and click My Deck => Add a Deck
  3. Once the deck page loads click Edit then do one of the following based on the platform your device is running:
    • (PC Only): Press F12 to open the DevTools window => Navigate to the Console tab in the window => Paste the export code => Hit Enter
    • OR (Other platforms/PC): In the address bar of the current tab remove the URL and type "javascript:" without the quotations then paste the export code, then if you're on mobile look for the *globe* icon and tap on it to run the code (Chrome only), for PC users just hit enter.
  4. The deck will save automatically
  5. Go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

Notes & Combos

An update to my previous build:

The meta is still quite favourable for Vaalmonica. Although Gimmick Puppet is near impossible to stop going second, the hits to Prosperity, Shifter, Gamma and Lightning Storm are all very good news for Vaalmonica, making the still common Tenpai matchup even better.

Cards I took out:

  • Gamma & Driver: No longer worth it when Limited in a deck that already has consistency issues.
  • Accel Synchro & Baronne: Gamma was the only way to summon these.
  • Exceed the Pendulum: I found this card to be too situational and barely ever summoned it.

Cards I added:

  • Vaalmonica Versare: After an unlucky streak of bad opening hands, I added an extra Versare to try to boost consistency a little. Not sure if I want to keep it.
  • Pot of Extravagance: A little risky due to the deck's weakness to Droll and the chance of unlucky banishes, but I think the consistency boost is worth it as Zebufera is the only ED monster that is absolutely necessary to have.
  • Maxx "C": Had the space for it so I added a third one back.
  • Duralume: A second copy mainly for Extrav, also protects against Unicorn and can be helpful in some grind games.
  • Link Spider: Protects you from Nibiru on Yama, which is your 5th summon in the typical combo. You can turn the token into Link Spider, and the Link Spider into Zebufera and end on the exact same board as without Nibiru.
  • Underworld Goddess: This card has been surprisingly useful. Doesn't come up every game, but when it does it's a lifesaver against cards from Dragoon to I:P.

Cards that still aren't in:

  • Selene: I randomly pulled Selene from a Master Pack and experimented with it, but I found it was just as situational as Exceed the Pendulum and cut it.
  • Apollousa: I still don't have this card, but I would try it out if I did.
  • Droll & Lock Bird: I think this is a good option to consider both for Crossout and Gimmick Puppet. I might try this out instead of the second Versare.

Overall I'm really happy with this deck and I hope we get the missing support and Fiendsmith soon to make it even better!
