Notes & Combos

Decided to do a last day grind from Master 5 to Master 1 in order to get some good quality games. Unfortunately, ladder is currently heavily dominated by Snake-Eyes so it wasn't too easy to do so.

It took me about 5-6 hours to get to Master 1 and throughout them I encountered around 70% Snake-Eyes, 20% Kashtira, and the rest were either Mathmech or rogue decks. All in all I had quite a good winrate. I think 90% of the games where I did lose were either because I didn't draw a starter or drew way too many. (classic Striker issue)

My list is an overall pretty standard going second Striker list but I would like to explain a few card choices/ratios:

MAIN DECK

• 3x Effect Veiler - Usually I don't love this handtrap because it sucks to draw into for turn unlike Imperm. However, the current meta requires a minimum of 12 handtraps in my opinion, and this is currently the highest-impact and most versatile one as it's really good against Snake-Eyes and decent against every other deck.
• 1x Raigeki, 1x Harpie's Feather Duster - These are obviously strong going second cards and great Thrust targets. That being said, I think I will be cutting them going forward because they're suboptimal against Snake-Eyes. They will probably be replaced by Upstarts.
• 2x Cosmic Cyclone - Definitely the MVP of tech-choices for the current meta. It's really strong against Snake-Eyes to banish I:P/Flamberge from the backrow, as well as every other deck on ladder at the moment. It even won me a game against Kashtira where they flipped Anti-Spell when I would otherwise be doomed. Love this card to bits.
• 1x Multirole - If there was space I would probably run 2, but I didn't really miss the second copy much.

EXTRA DECK

• 3x Hayate, 2x Zeke - The third Hayate and the second Zeke are definitely flex spots but they do come up in grind games. Hiita/Selene/Ningirsu/Zeus are all excellent choices though so feel free to play what you prefer.
