I tried scythe lock, calamity lock, fossil dyna lock even then settled on this more realistic version. People either scoop instantly or stay because they drew ht or droplet/superpoly/sphere mode etc.
That's where Pater+Omega feels stronger in this meta environment in my opinion. Opponent will have 4 cards in hand in draw phase if no ht used, 3 or less if used and the combo still went through.
As for going second, it's actually winnable in some cases, sometimes the hts you draw won't be useful or won't be enough against the matchup(only one gamma because I was getting second one too often), that's where Kurikara and Kaijus might save you(barrier statues for example).
