Notes & Combos
Tenpai is a good metacall right now
I chose to climb with Tenpai this season because I got pretty frustrated after losing too many cointosses against Fiendsmith combo decks, while I got hit with Maxx C/Fuwalos or Bystials almost each time I played Fiendsmith decks myself going 1st. Tenpai doesn't care about any of those cards.
Consistent despite some hits
I want more consistency and extension, which is why I play the Gold Sarc Blaster package. With 3 Paidra, 1 Chundra, 2 Genroku, 1 Dora, 1 Magnamhut, 1 Summoning, 2 Kaimen and 2 Gold Sarc you get a 92.3% chance for at least 1 Tenpai starter and a 64.9% chance for 2+ Tenpai starters. Even if you don't draw any Tenpai engine, you have a decent chance to topdeck into engine with Maxx C or Fuwalos. 2 card Tenpai combos are extremly hard to stop because you can dodge common interruption like Prometian Princess or Imperm during the BP or just prevent interactions completely by summoning Transcendent Dragion under Summoning in M1.
Non-engine
I chose to play handtraps because I don't have enough UR crafts to make a boardbreaker build. Some handtraps like Purulia, Veiler and Nibiru are also UR, which is the reason why I didn't test the deck with more copies of them yet. I just stuck with cards that were solid in previous formats like Ghost Ogre for Yubel and Tenpai mirrors and Called By, which increases the OTK rate of hands with only 1 Tenpai starter by negating Ash on Genroku/Kaimen. Called By could also work as boardbreaker going 2nd against Silvia and Phantom of Yubel.
Sometimes handtraps won't be enough, which is why I like to play a little bit Spell/Trap removal and Droplet to break boards. Droplet is by far the best breaker and should be mandatory in any handtrap Tenpai Build.
Extra Deck
Most choice are pretty standard, nothing extraordinary. I never had any situations where I missed Raging Phoenix + Zealantis. Striker Dragon + SP comes up much more often.
