Notes & Combos

Super Clean climb even with a budget build. First of all, I got to shout out to all my ppl in the yugioh master duel discord. You guys are the real mvps.

Anyways, if you were lucky to start your climb b4 shs and manadium support came out, you prolly had an easier climb. Kashtira was really easy to beat with so many outs to ariseheart. I have listed a few notes on the other notable decks below.

Manadium: imo, the hardest matchup for us. that pesky counter trap was very hard to get around. Cards like lightning storm and evenly were very helpful against the deck.

SHS: Just draw the out bro. If ur able to max c or droll you win 70% of the time. Ash on the right spot (when the brown equip dude tributes the link 1, I don't know his name sowwy) can also help you out. Played a lot of them in the first half of the climb and win rate with them was around 60-80% (im too lazy to actually calculate it).

Branded: Max C and ash was really impactful. Shark Cannon caries this matchup. Evenly and lightning storm do some heavy work as well. Nibiru was meh against this deck. I did like this matchup more than shs or manadium however as we have a great grind game rather than 1 turn expolosive 10 million negates. Games are also more complicated however as it has diverse interuptions like albaz, quem, branded in red etc.

Labrynth: Droll was meh in this match up. You would only do it on ariana or pot of extrav but wouldn't do much. After all spell and traps go away with ur backrow removal, should be an easy game. Watch out for big welcomes bounce effect. Was really annoying when I tried to widow anchor their stuff.

Mathmech: shark cannon and droll carry this matchup. Imo, the best way to beat this deck is try and take up all their interactions with your main engine cards then thrust for talents, steal terahertz and otk by sending ur own accesscode to win. Happened more than once.

Vanquish soul: If you opened raigeki or have access to it, you most likely win the game. Blow out cards were very helpful. Widown anchor the rock link 1 in draw phase.
