Notes & Combos

Pure Kashtira build that I used for this season (Jan 2025) to get me from M5 to M1.

A strong point of this deck is that it can play under Fuwalos (and sometimes Maxx "C") well. Deck prefers to go 1st. If I suspect the opponent is using a heavily grave-centric deck (such as 60-cards deck Tearlaments or Branded) I will go for Arise-Heart, otherwise I tend to just end with Fenrir, Unicorn and Ogre to avoid the risk of getting Nibiru-ed.

Did pretty well against decks like Tenpai, Yubel, Centur-Ion and Branded. Loses were mainly due to going second with a bricked hand.

Some explanations regarding card choices:

Kashtira Ogre (3x) - Running at 3 as to help improve consistency in activating Kashtiratheosis. In close games, being able to know and somewhat control your opponent's cards is really useful. Was able to win a few games with just this card by banishing key cards in their deck (such as Chundra)

Paleozoic Dinomischus - This card is actually really helpful; I was saved by this card a couple of games, a good card to use with Triple Tactics Thrust

Kashtira Arise-Heart - I only ran 1 but that's because I only have 1 and had very little UR dust to spare. I recommend running more copies if you do have it (To avoid being in a huge disadvantage if opponent also runs Kashtira Unicorn)

Number 42: Galaxy Tomahawk, Knightmare Gryphon, Borrelend Dragon - Very rarely used, its purpose is to summon either Gryphon or Borrelend. Gryphon can get back useful spell/traps, Borrelend can be pretty useful against Tenpai due to its anti-targeting and battle/effect protection.

Haggard Lizardose - Normally used as bridge to Gryphon/Borrelend with Galaxy Tomahawk, but it can also be useful if you want to get rid of 2 monsters on your field and you want to special summon Fenrir/Unicorn/Ogre with its own effect. If used this way, you turn one of your opponent's monster's atk to 800, and get a draw.

Dimensional Barrier - Good against Tenpai/Branded, another good target to choose for Triple Tactics Thrust.
