Notes & Combos

Deck notes, that no one will read.

ExDeck is TIGHT. Here are cards I would be playing if my ExDeck was larger or have been considering.

  • Ty-Phon
    • I think this happened a lot more, since I found people ending more on one boss monster I cannot out compared to other seasons. Also when you play a deck with a lot of flip monsters... sometimes you have hands... that don't really do anything going second?
  • Gallant Granite
    • This card bridges Melod into Shaddoll in one card combos... why am I not playing it? Tight ExDeck and I only really found in practice you have a lot of games where you just open Shaddoll monsters alongside Melod cards. There has only really a handful of games I've played with this deck where it's just been, Melod cards.
    • This made me often question myself, of what's the point of playing this card... if I'm not even going to summon it
  • Gravity Controller
    • It's the link-1 that help Construct search the continuous trap (or any other Shaddoll backrow) without needing a second body on board.
  • Either more Construct / Winda / Granguignol
    • Deck can be force into a grind game often if you play low to the ground turn one, and you slowly notice you start to run out of fusion names to summon with Schizme / Cartesia
  • Super Poly & Adjacent Targets
    • Started out with them and quickly figured out, you really don't need them. It's not like Super Poly is bad right now, it's more 'I rather be playing more handtraps in the main deck, and have more options in my ExDeck'

Cards which are Replaceable / Interchangeable;

  • Schuberta
    • Your second fusion summon target with Melodious if you think you can get away with just her and passing against Fuwa / Maxx C.
    • Could also be the second Baka
  • Luluwalilith & Iris
    • Potentially interchangeable with any other Granguidnol target(s), in my deck just feels weird the fact you have to send your only Despia target with Granguidnol, to summon Iris (or any of her friends / foes).
    • Because of this I've not used Luluwalilith as much, but in hindsight, there are a lot of games where Granguidnol's summon doesn't matter.
  • I:P
    • You often to end on Apo directly since you need to clear up zones, and the I:P also fights against ending on S:P herself for potentially removing the normal summon and also Mr. Plan B.
