Notes & Combos

Updated version of my previous White Forest Diabellstar deck. Before I was running 3 sylvy, 2 tales and 3 toy soldies, decided to cut the ratios a little and instead add chicken game, a card I've been wanting to run in white forest for a while, and yeah it's pretty great, helps draw into Diabellstar, toy box, handtraps and of course it's a free discard for the WF cards, and you can recycle it with Diabell for even more draws.

Still no maxx c because it just doesn't resolve for me, however, droll has won me so many games going 2, even if it doesn't fully stop some decks it limits their boards enough that it gives you a chance. For that purporse I've also added forbidden droplet, great combo with toy box, can send astellar to grave and can also use the chicken game.

The extra deck has also changed a lot. First, sorry dragoon you are very cool but I had to cut you, so with all that space I added some new cards: Phoenix for generic backrow removal (a big weakness of the deck), usually made with Diabellstar + a toy going second. Another great card for generic removal is coral dragon, this card is awesome, discard a spell to trigger astellar and because it's a tuner you can go into Diabell and get the effect of adding a spell or trap from grave + a draw.

Chengying is there to help in matchups like Yubel because otherwise it can be difficult to out their monsters, and it's a good backup plan if the game goes beyond turn 2. Legatia is just another body to help go for game but doesn't come up very often (but when it does it's pretty clutch)

In terms of how it does in the current format, it's actually pretty good against Fuwalos depending on the hand. With Diabellstar + Elzette and any toy you can end on the SS trap, woes and Baron and give them just one draw. Purulia is way more annoying but thankfully it's not played as much.

Overall I still love this deck a lot, Diabellstar adds so much consistency and extra tolls for your turn 1 and 2, I've even won games with just her and the trap which you can recycle once with wanted, she helps so much that I do think it's worth trying.

Replays this time are to show some lines through interuption or when the hand is not very good, as well as the power of chicken game and all the other draws you can do during turn 1 (and how my full board was almost completely destroyed against a weird 60 card pile). Also, the importance of having good backrow removal to go for game against maxx c on turn 2.
