The long awaited Labrynth support is finally here in Master Duel, and the cries of degen duelists around the world can be heard in the distance. There's a good chance that you've fought against this deck in the past, and there's also a good chance that you had an awful time in the process. Previously, Labrynth played like a different flavor of Eldlich with floodgates, a million traps, and summoning a big monster from deck off of a trap. Now that Labrynth has some new cards to play with, does this change how the deck is played? The answer is yes and no. Allow me to explain.

With the new support, Labrynth players can still do the same things that they always have done like Compulse, Dogmatika Punishment, Lord of the Heavenly Prison, Trap Trick cheese, floodgates, Solemns, etc. However, the new support has allowed a whole new playstyle of Labrynth to exist. This new playstyle is known as Furniture Labrynth or IKEA Labrynth. The name comes from the Labrynth monsters in the main deck that look like living furniture. You may not have seen them before, and that's because they weren't all that great. They didn't do much besides set Labrynth Labyrinth or Welcome Labrynth from deck. With the new Labrynth support, the furniture can now unleash their full power.

So what exactly is Furniture Labrynth? It doesn't look like your typical trap-focused deck. Heck, there's not even that many traps in the deck list! Furniture Labrynth doesn't play like a typical Eldlich or Stun style trap deck. Rather, Labrynth is played as a incredibly strong resource loop complete with hand rips, pops, and activations of traps straight from the deck. All of that is done while maintaining card advantage.

Allow me to explain how the deck works. Your main engine cards are your furniture and Lady Labyrinth. Stovie Torbie and Chandraglier can both set Labrynth traps from your deck, and Cooclock allows you to use Normal Traps the same turn they are set. By playing Big Welcome Labrynth, your furniture will return to the hand to set even more Labrynth traps from deck. That same Big Welcome can trigger Lady's effect to set any Normal Trap from deck. Since you have your furniture back, you can use Cooclock to activate that card immediately. Yes, that includes the virus cards. Yes, it's as toxic as it sounds.
