Notes & Combos

So after the maintenance I opened MD, expecting to play some fun games with Adams until I rank down. What I didn't expect was that I would go 13-3 and ranked up from M3 to M1 in 2 hours. YGO sure is full of surprises.

This deck doesn't really have any specific combo lines since it depends on what I have in hand and my excavations. But I generally want to do 3 things.

1. Use Prank-Kids + 1 more thing to go into Apo
2. Use Adams synchro + tuner to go into Baronne
3. Use the rest to go into Spright, which should gives you Elf + IP + red and/or carrot

Sometimes I had to skip 1), 2), or both if my luck is bad or if my opponent hand-trapped me during key moments. But I can almost always do 3).

The cool thing about this variant of Adams is that it's more consistent. It doesn't rely on excavations too much and can play through some hand traps. The end board may be weaker but I can always end on something.

The above only applies to going 1st. If I go 2nd, I either stop the opponent with handtraps or I lose. I find endboards nowadays to be much harder to play into than they were in the past. But that's just powercreep I guess.

Is this deck good? I would say yes. It's very consistent and can make a reasonably strong board. But it struggles to go 2nd vs META. And it has virtually no way to recover if its board is broken. (This applies to all variants of Adams)
