Notes & Combos

New Spright uprise in the new meta

  • Handtraps: Maxx C, Ash and Impermanence are must have, and the Gamma is optional, i like playing it because alot of people are playing Gamma too, and Gamma does counter their Gamma
  • Dark Beckoning Beast package is really good, free monsters all the time and discard for Spirit Gates fixes hands with drawn Hero Kid or Driver, and people usualy think it is Yubel deck that im playing.
  • Hero Kid engine is personal preference, i have not tried Nimble engine but i guess it works. Melffy engine is mandatory and Spright Jet search target is almost always Double Cross.
  • Extra Deck: I have summoned every monster, every card came up and i wouldnt change anything, except maybe just maybe put 2 Zeus because Kashtira Unicorn punishes playing one copy, and nobody would expect double Zeus.
  • Going first board that im making is usualy Elf; I:P; Melffy of the forest; Melffy Catty; and Double Cross. In the last stage i tried to put up more negates in Red and Carrot, it felt right to do because i encountered a lot of backrow decks.
  • Going second it is most of the time Mosquito->Zeus, or if you stop their turn with hand traps, you try to OTK with Gamma Burst.

In the end it is the usual Spright with little bit of adapting to the meta, and power rise with the help of Spright Jet back to 2 copies and S:P, the best link 2 in the game.
