Notes & Combos
- The ratio of Bystial monsters for 40 cards seems pretty good; you don't brick on them as much, but you can go through them fast without recycling them with Regained.
- Seals with disruptions is preferable over Borrelend nowadays with set Albaz/Super Poly being more common. Use those same resources you would make with Borrelend into Seals if possible and some combination of I:P, Savage, RDA Abyss, or Regained/Beast with a Bystial in hand/on field. It also fairs better into Spright thanks to cards like I:P, Unicorn, Druiswurm, and Beast so that they don't control a face up monster.
- Triple Burst can be used for Borrelend while being a generic Link 3 that works decently with Bystials. It can be made with Dharc and can be summoned from the grave with Striker + Recharger. Even though Dillingerous provides an extra monster to make Borrelend + Savage, it uses up both Strikers in the process while not being as versatile, since its uses is limited for that purpose. Striker is important in subsequent turns partly due to its 2nd effect to pop itself and trigger Recharger to summon almost anything. You can also use Chaos Space/Regained to shuffle back useful cards like White/Black Dragon and other Bystials for better grindgame and extra link fodder, which you otherwise would waste on Striker if you used Dillingerous.
- Gamma is generally better going second over something like Veiler or Imperm, but is just as good going first if the opponent decides to handtrap any of your cards (Chaos Space, Quick Launch, Bystial summon, etc.), or shotguns Shifter or Maxx C.
- Some changes I'd make would be a 2nd Saronir over a Baldrake for better combo routes, and Baronne over Underworld even though the mirror will suffer against opposing Borrelends. I might even consider no Levianeer, which is weird to say yes, but it's a card I don't summon nearly as often as I did with pure DL before. I'm likely to use Space/Ravine to prioritize Bystials over what I'd usually do with Levi, but I need to play more to figure these things out.
