This is Lair infernoid control aka feast turbo. The deck was a meta contender before but ever since metaverse got limited the deck went off the radar. Now that its back to 2, we can search it off trap trick, making the deck so much more consistent. In a meta where spot removal (for cost!) and GY banishes are crucial, whilst backrow hate not being too prevalent, lair noids seem to be a very underrated rogue option.

I'll talk deck building and ratios now. Firstly, noids: standard 2:2 between onunco and devyaty, i felt cutting either to 1 reduced bricking by a bit but would hinder the engines potency by a lot. Expansion is there as a feast send off metaverse. Also no purification as that seems to fit best in trap heavy builds, same as apocalypse and back jack. With the upcoming trap support, i may move to that version tho i certainly like the aggro feel of this control variant. I play total 8 non engine techs, with the 1 driver brick. Feel like this + lair + imagination is enough for going second without compromising the engine. I went with 2 extrav, 2 duality, and 1 prosperity. Duality doesn't feel the best, especially going second, but i need that consistency, and running a 3rd extrav i found to be very bricky. Between lair and feast, Im running 17 starters. bricks are around 9. So that's 17 : 9 : 8. Everything else is part of the engine and nice to draw, and sometimes we can make plays with them and only one half of our engine, like decatrons, pots, imagination etc.

So the engine can be classed as two parts: lair and feast. both lair and feast is usually a 3 card combo, so realistically you wont always draw combo. I've built the deck in a way where the non starters and techs work well even with just half the engine. 3 lilith and 2 trap trick are the only cards which can access either half of the engine. lairs, ahrima, metaverse accesses lair, total 6, and feast, vanishment accesses feast, total 6. metaverse also accesses feast targets as a bonus. Techs were picked because not only are they powerful, but they synergize well with the deck; bystials can be searched off ahrima, baldrake can tribute opps monster for cost under lair, gamma good going second and protects combo from ash, and super poly good going first and second, gives bodies, and triph and drago are additional disruptions. In the extra deck, I've got a lot of super poly and imagination targets, and links. phoenix for backrow, verte spoly, bls link is a tower we can easily make.Rest is standard
