Notes & Combos

My opinion of the deck hasn't changed, the deck is still good and can hit Master 1.

  • I will discuss some staples in this meta:

Staples:

  1. Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring - you play this card because Max "C" exists.(7/10)

  2. D.D. Crow and Bystial - Hahaha, fire format! No seriously, unless we get another Tearlament like format those card will remain meh at best(unless you play Floo/Branded).(0/10)

  3. Droll & Lock Bird - so I started the season thinking this card was the "best" hand trap in the game, and you can see why, I mean Snake-Eye Fire King is the most popular deck in the game, but droll just fells bad on the ranked ladder, most of the time it fells like you are just getting a -1 after your opponent searched, the fact that it has anti synergy with the best card ever printed (Max "C") dost help either. (5/10)

  4. Dimension Shifter - If you can play it you play it, if you can't, you don't, sadly for us Mathmech players we can't play this card.(0/10 in Mathmech, 10/10 if you can play it)

  5. Effect Veiler/Infinite Impermanence - If you play a deck that has 12+ hand traps, there is no reason you shouldn't have a combination of those 2 cards(3 imp 2 veil,etc.), they are just that good(in my opinion), outside Nibiru and Max "C" those are the most powerful hand traps in this meta. (9/10).

  6. Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion - the card is okay, you can stop Called by the Grave and some Snake-Eye/Fire king cards, but the main problem with this card is its versatility combine with the fact that it only negates effects(Hahaha Konami) makes this card okay (most of the time).(6/10)

  7. Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chil - "Effect Veiler at home", in most cases this card is objectively worst then Effect Veiler and doesn't hold a candle to Infinite Impermanence, I agree it has some niche advantages over Effect Veiler and Infinite Impermanence like drawing it of Max "C" when you have an established board, but outside those moments the card is just a downgrade of those two.(5/10)

  8. Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit - "PSY-Framegear Gamma at home" or "MST negate" this card is not that good in the current meta(but I've heard is decent against Tenpai Dragon).(4/10)

  9. Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries - no, just don't.(-1000/10)

  10. Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood - "Better the Mac "C"" or "Judge: Time", don't waste 30/90 UR dust on this. (1/10)

  11. Max "C" - Is Max "C"...(10/10)

  12. Nibiru, the Primal Being - is this card good in the current meta, I mean don't get me wrong it was never a bad card but this meta...****, to explain why Nib is so good in this meta, well first it makes snake-eye boards worst, second it makes Max "C" better, third it can be a game winning card. (8/10)

  13. PSY-Frame - The second-best hand trap in the game (if you don't open driver), the reason I don't play it in Mathmech is because cyberse is a xenophobic type, and it messes up some minor interactions of the deck.(7/10)(Driver)

  14. Triple Tactics Talent - yes 2 or 3 copies.(8/10)
