Notes & Combos

My saviour this season was "Droll" & Lock Bird! It could heavily cripple the elephant in the room, Fire King Snake-Eyes, and would also destroy rogue decks along the way. Without it, I got kinda hardstuck between Master 2 and 3.

Reminder to watch your handtrap usage: some handtraps turn each other off (looking at you "C" + "Droll" + "Shifter"...)

"Bloss" is your only answer to your opponent dropping the "C", but since we aren't a combo deck that isn't always a big concern -- some hands let you out-draw that "C" with the "Sleepy-Lyeap" combo.

I've also won a few games from opponents not reading "Street"! It guards against not only "Veiler" and "Imperm", but also the cards you summon on your opponent's turn from their removal like "Subversion" or (Rescue-ACE) "Preventer"!

"Nibiru" really only came up once to simplify the game against Rescue-ACE. "Street" is the key card against them as "Preventer" and the stuff they're setting from "Turbulence" often targets. Just don't bounce with "2-Happiness" or "Turbulence" will pop your "Street"!

Not every opponent respects "2-Beauty": going 1st she's an extra "Imperm", but going 2nd she can mimic "Baronne", checking your opponent's disruption so the rest of your play can resolve.

Two "SP": the 1st is your backup play under "Shifter" or after getting handtrapped, your opponent will probably answer it by battle (letting you survive), then you have the 2nd for the late game. This might catch some opponents off guard since even "Linkuriboh" from the GY turns on the 1st effect of "SP"! "Protector of the Agents -- Moon" is the budget alternative to the 2nd "SP".

Two "Lyeap": even if the "Sleepy-Lyeap" combo isn't available, you can feel comfortable discarding them, using them for "Pretty" eating effect, or turning your "2-Beauty" into a "7-Noir" mid-turn for additional disruption. Afterwards, the GY effect is great for grind games or dodging "Called By".

If matchmaking keeps giving you stun, swap the "Drolls" for "Imperm" and the 2nd "SP" for "Protector of the Agents -- Moon" (to check "Skill Drain" and similar cards).

Depending on matchmaking, you could swap "Drolls" and/or "Nibiru" for "Bystials": they can act as surprise blockers, and help with making "SP". Not particularly effective against FKSE though.

TLDR: drawing 6 cards in-engine when almost half your deck is handtraps is disgusting as always; I'm glad "good kitty" is still good this format!
