Notes & Combos
This is たすく's decklist with which he reached Global #1 in the 2024 WCS Qualifier 2nd Stage.
It was the hardest season to climb for me as i didn't enjoy the Fire King Snake-Eye matchup which was by far my most common matchup.
After I was stuck in M2 for far too long (playing Kashtira), this deck finally helped me reach M1 with a 5 game winstreak before the season ends.
The deck is very powerful and this list almost never bricked.
Opening no handtraps going 2nd can be hard, but depending on the deck of the opponent and your own hand it is still possible to win.
Notes on specific cards:
- Talents always carried, either taking a monster to OTK or looking at the opponents hand to get rid of one possible interruption
- Gamma helped to resolve Maxx"C" countless times and is an overall good handtrap to have.
- Anima as a alternative LINK-1 to bait/out an Apollousa or anything that is summoned in front of the extra zones. This turns a Poplar (or Hydrant) into a bonus interuption.
- Sunlight Wolf to get an Ash Blossom or any R-ACE Monster back to the hand for follow up
- Second S:P Little Knight is sometimes needed, because you often make one going first to protect Turbulence from targeting effects and then another one in Turn 3 to dismantle the board
Overall very happy with the deck, all credit goes to たすく.
