Notes & Combos
This Deck is way better than people think. I'd say a solid tier 2 for sure.
Its main weaknesses arise when going 2nd, although you do have a solid shot thanks to Droplet and Harpie's, as well as the Vanities, which act as boardbreakers themselves, for instance, by stopping Masquerena or Superfactorial. The best in this regard by a long shot is Jowgen, for obvious reasons.
Going 1st however this Deck is unfair, you will win at least 80% of your games.
Notes:
-
Necrovalley is hands down the best card of the Format. It's an Insta-Win against most Decks, especially Snake-Eye, Fire King and Rescue-Ace. You want to max out on Necrovalley. Commandant is perfect for that as it gives you access to Necrovalley while also being a terrific beater on its own (especially if you have Necrovalley up). It can also crash with Little Knight by himself which is huge since Little Knight quite literally FTKs the entire Deck. Also, as a word of caution, if you have Morganite and Commandant, make sure you use Commandant first, as once you use Morganite you won't be able to activate Commandant's Effect.
-
Harpie's is a must in my opinion. Even though it is dead going First it is too valuable going Second. For starters, it helps you get rid of those annoying Impermanences, which is the worst enemy of this Deck. It also gives you crutial assistance against some of the worst matchups, such as Labrynth or Rescue-Ace.
-
Droplet is 100% a must. You will almost never win going Second without this card. Simply put, you need it. There are alternatives, such as Dark Ruler or Evenly, but those cards are literally dead going First. Droplet is very good going First, especially considering it can negate both Poplar and Ponix, both cards that can search an out to your Vanities. Also, Droplet does come up sometimes against Veiler/Impermanence. For instance, if you have Necrovalley up against a Snake-Eye board and your Jowgen is met with an Impermanence, you can chain Droplet sending Jowgen to dodge, and even if they have something like Masquerena up or a Kirin in hand they cannot respond with Monster Effects, and Necrovalley would prevent Flamberge or Fire King effects in the GY.
-
All Pots are a must except for Desires, which is definitely arguable. There's a lot of times I decide not to use it cause I need a specific card in my Deck, such as Harpie's or Commandant to run over something. However, going First it gives you massive advantage which makes it worth imo.

More Notes:
-
Morganite is optimal at 2. You don't want to see multiples and you only wanna see it once. 2nd Copy, in the unfortunate case you draw it, can always be sent as cost for Droplet. Same case is true for something like a Dead Desires. Or a Dead Nadir Servant.
-
Safe Zone is GOAT. If you draw this with a Vanity you will win over 90% of times. Only counter is Impermanence simply cause it is the most broken card ever printed.
