Notes & Combos
As far as win coin flip --> win game decks go, Infernoble is probably the most rewarding to pilot correctly I've played. Understanding the deck & successfully playing through handtraps & interruption is so much fun. Too much to say about the full combo & variations, so check replays below.
I know two Maxx C looks wonky. I don't necessarily recommend it, but it wasn't resolving for me & I wanted to cut my deck size down to 44. Logic was to lean into what the deck is good at (going 1st), & for that there are tons of cards I'd rather open. This deck struggles going 2nd compared to other top decks; rather than try to compensate for that with non-engine (& potentially brick), I chose to bump my consistency so that I could convert as close to 70%+ of won coin flips into wins as possible.
Connector/Dolphin is just unfair. For how good the endboard is, this deck has no business handripping AND getting hand knowledge. It's also relatively common to summon Dolphin off Isolde to handrip and then full combo from there if you already have your needed combo pieces.
Diabellstar package is mandatory in my opinion, fantastic extender & sometimes baits interruptions. I cut Wanted to 2 because most of the time you only want 1 card from this package in your opener. Felt much better to me at 2. Also, there's a line where you equip Turpin to Dolphin to make Baronne with it + Diabellstar.
Bamboo package will be replaced with Gearblade once it's in the game, but I genuinely believe it's mandatory. Necessary in opening up certain combo lines & at times playing through interruption. Not even that bad to open because you're often pitching them off Dolphin or Diabellestar, or using them for Sinful Spoils. Do not cut it.
Don't cut Red Layer either. Very good going 1st & 2nd. Museum + Red Layer walks over a 3 mat Apollousa for free.
For the ED, Dempsey replaces Artorigus, though I used Artorigus for most of the climb since Dempsey only just dropped. I chose to run Anima over Link Spider but neither came up.
There are a few ways to beat Nibiru, usually with Renaud/Turpin/Bamboo, but sometimes early Baronne or Gearfried is possible.
Make sure you practice a lot because the timer can be a big stressor, especially going 2nd.
I've found even in Master rank many players don't know how to interrupt this deck properly. Negating Isolde on her 1st effect being the most common mistake (just make her again lol).
Infernoble best deck.
