Notes & Combos

By far, the most complex and non-linear deck I have had to play and successfully get to Master I with. It most definitely required the most attention when performing combos and/or correcting myself when misplaying. Yet, when you are able to do so, it feels so satisfying.

The deck can play through quite a good number of interruptions going first, but going second is where this deck may suffer. Unless if you drew enough handtraps or your opponent didn't put up enough negates, then it will be a struggle.

The ideal endboard usually consists of the following:

  • Spright Elf
  • Baronne De Fleur (pointed to by Elf)
  • I:P Masquerena (pointed to by Elf)
  • Azamina Ilia Silvia
  • Diabell, Queen of the White Forest
  • Woes of the White Forest
  • Sinful Spoils of Slumber - Morrian

I decided to run the Millennium engine over the Kashtira package, as it was more flexible overall and acted as insurance/bluff against HTs.

I also opted to run Anti-Spell Fragrance in this deck. While I really don't like these types of floodgates, considering majority of my matchups consisted of the mirror match, Tenpai, and Millennium Exodia, it helped to secure some of my wins. It was especially useful against Tenpai decks, which run a good number of board breakers in this meta.

I:P was the more viable option over Apollousa in my case, as I really wasn't able to summon Apo consistently, nor Guardian Chimera.

Overall, compared to Snake-Eye Fiendsmith Millennium, this deck was more complex, but far more interesting to play with and if played properly with the correct mindset, can become quite powerful.
