This is a rank 8-focused deck that can make some crazy boards go first while also doing really well going second.

The climb was pretty good this season; I didn't derank at all, and it didn't take me too long to get Master 1. I got the deck down to 40 and removed clorless, so it is pretty consistent now.

If you go first, you should be able to play through multiple hand traps if you manage your resources and play well. Going second is more difficult, but very possible if you try! Save your normal summon if you want to draw into lava golem and win the grind game if you can't OTK.

Maxx C is important, and I recommend always challenging it. Firstly, in my experience, it has really helped me improve at the deck, and it is usually safer than passing. Going second under Maxx C can let you OTK without attacking, and they usually have fewer cards left, so that helps.
