I wanted to play Gamma from last month and figured Ogre would be better than Droll because of King's Sarc releasing around the same time. Ogre doesn't sacrifice too much from my snake eye matchup. We went from from 15 handtraps in 40 (63% to open 2+ handtraps) to 17 in 43 (66.7% to open 2+ handtraps), reducing our chance of seeing 1 of 13 starters from 87.7% to 85%.

This deck does not have a good out to King's Sarc on the draw besides Ogre and Laplacian. King's Sarc protects Horus from Accesscode and popping King's Sarc while Hapi and Imsety are on field triggers a recycle 2 / nontarget send. Laplacian is fantastic here but not always possible. The easiest way is to destroy Horus by battle but King's Sarc has a nontarget send to protect them. I discovered Singularity can bounce King's Sarc in the damage step to avoid the Horus triggers and safely destroy them by battle. It's very difficult to OTK through Horus so Singularity provides some grind game.

I rarely summoned V-LAN Hydra, this could just be a Heatsoul if needed. V-LAN usually shows up at the end of the 1 card Circular/Defenser combo that ends on Singularity + Terahertz. A lot of times the Terahertz + Superfactorial is enough if you played through the handtraps thatvprevent you from getting to V-LAN. Still a big fan of Protectcode + Firewall in other contexts - the 8100 OTK, adding back handtraps (sometimes Laplacian after boardbreaking and resummoning it with Superfactorial in grind games).

There's a world where we play Multiplication but it increases the draws with limited playability (Driver, Superfactorial, Equation, Guardian).

Matchup Breakdown (53 Duels; 24 Heads, 29 Tails)
  • 7 Snake-Eye (13.2%, W/R = 85%)
  • 5 Horus (9.4%, W/R = 100%)
  • 5 Salamangreat (9.4%, W/R = 80%)
  • 4 Labrynth (7.5%, W/R = 75%)
  • 4 Tearlament (7.5%, W/R = 75%)

An extremely fast climb, almost half of the duels it usually takes (100+) blowing my previous PR out of the water. The sample size is small, so I wouldn't read much into the representation. It's cool that Horus and Salamangreat are seeing play though.
