Notes & Combos

Non-Engine: Maxx C, Gamma, Super Poly are the best non-engine to play right now in Tear. Earth Golem for Cyberse Decks and Panzer Dragon for Calamity Lock. Both come up against Snake-Eyes too.

Starters: Only 6 Normals. I'm playing ROTA over the 3rd Mare since Reinoheart is much better to open with Tear Backrow and Super Poly. Dangers are really good this format with Dharc and SP. Couldn't find room for the 3rd Nessie. Both Foolishes and Perlereino are mandatory imo. Grief is a really good extender and follow-up to search with Trivikarma. 2 Grief because it gets milled sometimes.

Mills: Scream and Trivikarma are your best mills and are mandatory to play at 3 imo. Trivikarma searches extension, follow-up, and backrow. If drawn you can discard it with Dangers and Dugares. Shufflers and Snow are really good mills to interrupt most decks including Snake-Eyes.

Extra Deck: Redoer mandatory as extension with Scheiren. Exciton is a boardwipe vs decks like R-Ace and Mikanko. Dugares is really versatile it can discard cards and double ATK. Also can be used as link material. Bomber Dragon hasn't come up, but it can be climbed into with Dharc and used as a boardwipe with Snow. You could also play Verte to send Super Poly to break boards. Coral Anemone is another option to guarantee a Rulk fusion by reviving either Reino or Mare. Abyss Dweller is good with Zeus for clearing boards with GY effects. It also can win games on it's own going first.

Main Combo:

  • Normal Reino/Sea Mare and send Havnis to fuse into Kitkallos.
  • Kit effect mill Tear Kash or search a Trap if you already have Tear Kash access (Grief or Foolish as well) or you are under C.
  • Kit effect on itself to summon Tear Kash and mill 10 total.
  • Fuse Scheiren and Kit into Rulkallos if you mill it.
  • Use any leftover bodies to make SP or Xyz like Dugares or Redoer as extension with Scheiren.
  • Prioritize searching Tear Traps that let you fuse on your opponent's turn. Metanoise is good by itself since it sends a Tear from deck to grave. Sulliek is good with a fuser or Kaleido-Heart on board. Cryme is good with a fuser in hand.
  • On your opponent's turn you want to make fusions like Kaleido-Heart to interrupt them and Kitkallos to search follow-up. If you use Rulkallos with one of them on board you can trigger their GY effects to extend further. You can also make Dragostapelia in some situations for an on-field monster negate.
  • Remember to use your GY interrupts like Shufflers and Snow.
