Vanquish Soul
Honestly, my favorite deck of the format.. It's not the most consistent one but it is one of the more flexible ones
Small World is a great card, it may seem like a -1 but there are bridges everywhere.. Some other Choices I had to consider:
- No shifter, yes it is a dark, yes it shuts a lot of decks down, but it hurt more than it helped
- 3 Belle and 2 Bystials worked better for me.. Belle has good bridges, Bystials not that much.. I decided to use these as mathmech is EVERYWHERE this format (I really dislike the deck), so they work great against them
- Zoodiac Package didn't come almost at all, maybe 1 game?? Bagooska literally never but it's a necessary evil.. Ariseheart came like once due to opponent using Shangri-Ira.. It's a good package but I didn't really feel the need to use it.. Also the XYZ package is easy to select with Prosperity
- Link monsters came a tad more often than xyz monsters but it was still like, 3 times? Only used the Rock of the Vanquisher consistently so you can run the 1 of Extrav
- This deck functions a bit differently than others decks as you'll have to adjust to your opponent each time, placing your monsters in the correct zones
Book of moon spell card was great..
-In the mirror match, you MUST activate as soon as they normal summon.. Regardless of if they have heavy borger/Caesar, they will have 1 booked monster in the main monster zone which can really shut this deck down..
-Mathmech, usually booking Circular and Sigma is good enough, but in case that doesn't work out, Razen in the opponent's Extra Monster Zone column should clear any problems
-Kashtira, book of a moon is 90% turn killer unless they have exactly birth and another monster
-Purrely stuggles as it doesn't target
